The Homestead

Share:

A detailed real-life encapsulation of an art gallery based in Auckland, New Zealand. The Homestead was developed by the same people who created Nefertari: Journey to Eternity and also uses photogrammetry, to scan the location at a high level of detail, achieving a close to photo-realistic sense of truly being there.

The art-work in this lovely Victorian abode was captured independently from the environment. Scanned at an ultra high level of detail which is also responsible for the file size of 24 GB of VR experience.

Watch the Trailer

The Homestead is meant as a teaser of what is planned to come at a later point. The future of this experience aims at a living, breathing art gallery with dynamically & accurately represented real-world content constantly dynamically changing over time. Brought in and out of exhibition.

In addition, expansion of the space to the entirety of this beautiful place will be eventually unlocked in it’s grandeur. The extensive art collection in question is held by Sir James Wallace and the Wallace Trust.

Opinion

“The level of detail of both, the artworks and the interior of the building, is simply breathtaking. I really hope that they're going to add more art over time, as announced.”
